Written Pieces
My work sits at the intersection of policy, public narrative, and institutional power. Whether I’m analyzing legislation, reporting on local government, or writing opinion pieces, I’m drawn to the gap between what policies are intended to do and what they actually produce.
“The visionary starts with a clean sheet of paper, and re-imagines the world.”
Across my writing, I focus on translating complex systems into clear, grounded insights without losing their nuance. That means paying attention to tradeoffs, incentives, and the constraints that shape decision-making within both public and private institutions. It also means centering the people affected by those decisions, not just the systems themselves.
This perspective has naturally led me toward an interest in trusts and safety, where questions of responsibility, risk, and public impact are constantly being negotiated. Writing is how I engage with those questions. It pushes me to think more precisely, ask better questions, and move beyond observation toward understanding how systems can be improved from within.
